DS-3E1318P-E este un switch de 8 porturi 10/100 Mbps care nu necesita configuratie si ofera 8 porturi PoE (Power over Ethernet).
Acesta poate detecta automat si furniza energie catre toate dispozitivele IEEE 802.3af cu care este compatibil. In aceasta situatie, energia electrica este transmisa impreuna cu datele printr-un singur cablu, permitandu-va sa va extindeti reteaua unde nu exista linii de alimentare sau prize, unde doriti să fixati dispozitive precum camere IP, telefoane IP, etc.
